About Me

WHO I
AM

I am an IB Diploma student at Aga Khan Academy Mombasa with a serious passion for aerospace engineering, applied mathematics, and the economics of flight. My Extended Essay bridges physics and economics to examine why supersonic commercial aviation has struggled to reach viability despite the technology existing for decades.

I come from a background that spans two countries, three schools, and disciplines that rarely sit together: competitive debate, wildlife conservation, motocross, clinical work, and website development for real clients. I do not fit one box, and I do not intend to.

I believe engineering is ultimately the study of systems. Whether it is the aerodynamics of a supersonic jet, the optimal geometry of a pressurised tank, or the logistics of a full school production, the thinking is the same. Find the constraint. Solve it.

The Technical and Economic Evolution of Supersonic Travel

Why Has Commercial Supersonic Travel Struggled to Become Economically Viable in the U.S.?

An interdisciplinary World Studies EE integrating Physics and Economics. Analyzes fuel efficiency barriers, wave drag, sonic boom limitations, and the commercial realities facing supersonic aviation. Concorde and Boom Supersonic serve as central case studies. Synthesizes aerodynamics with industrial economics to evaluate a genuinely unresolved engineering and policy question.

Modelling the Draining of a Cylindrical Tank

Applied Calculus · Fluid Dynamics · Engineering Optimisation

Used differential equations and Torricelli's Law to model height decay and drainage flow rates. Extended the investigation to find the optimal geometry for a 1000-litre cylindrical tank by balancing hydrostatic pressure against structural wall force, identifying the most material-efficient radius using calculus.

Temperature and Capacitance in Electrolytic Capacitors

Electricity and Magnetism · Experimental Physics

Investigated how varying the temperature of a 4700µF electrolytic capacitor from 0°C to 80°C affects its capacitance through a 2kΩ resistor. Required precise thermal control, careful circuit setup, and systematic data collection to isolate the relationship between temperature and capacitive behaviour — a property directly relevant to the reliability of electronic systems in aerospace and engineering environments.

04 · Chemistry HL Internal Assessment

Thermal Effects on Calcium Solubility in Fresh Cow's Milk

Complexometric Titration · Analytical Chemistry

Investigated at what temperature soluble calcium in fresh cow's milk begins to decrease significantly, by heating samples to 30°C, 50°C, 70°C, 90°C, and 100°C and analysing each using complexometric EDTA titration. Demonstrates rigorous experimental methodology, quantitative chemical analysis, and the ability to design a controlled multi-variable investigation.
